Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)- Make sure you and one of your parents apply for a FAFSA ID through the FAFSA website. You can officially submit your FAFSA as soon as your parents have filed their income tax returns. DO THIS ASAP!

    Amount: $2,500

    Eligibility: High School seniors whose parents or legal guardians are customers of Poka Lambro are eligible. Applicant must be graduating from an area high school.

  • To apply, visit: southplainsgentx

    Amount: $1,000

    Eligibility: Acceptance to a 2 or 4 year higher education institution, higher education institution must be located in Texas, must submit letter of acceptance by May 1 to receive award, and must attend College Signing Day event on May 6 in Lubbock.

    Application open: February 1 through March 15, 2016

    Amount: $2,000 (payable as $500 for each of four semesters through the sophomore year of college)

    Eligibility: Scholarship available to entering college freshman who is a member, spouse, child of a member, or child whose guardian is a member of a rural electric cooperative which is an owner (member) of Golden Spread Electric Cooperative, Inc. (Lyntegar Electric members, spouses, children of a member, or child whose guardian is a member are eligible.) Student applicants must possess the qualities of honor, integrity, thrift, good moral character, and a sincere desire to achieve their educational goals. Grades are not the sole criteria in awarding the scholarship, however, they may determine the final award if all other things are found equal by the Selection Committee.

    Amount: One $6,000 scholarship and two $2,000 scholarships

    Eligibility: Any high school senior planning to pursue a two- or four-year degree at an accredited Texas college or university next year and currently attending public, private, or home school in Texas may apply.

    Amount: Up to $5,000 per year ($2,500 per semester Fall & Spring Only) for a total of 5 years or the completion of a Bachelor's Degree or a total accumulation of 136 semester hours or 36 credits, whichever comes first. Smaller amounts ($1,000-$1,500) may be awarded on a one-time basis.

    Eligibility: Applicants must be graduating with a high school diploma or GED from an accredited high school; must enroll full-time (12 or more hours) for the fall semester in a college/university; must be a Texas resident and US citizen; must have and maintain a GPA of 3.0 (B) or better; must complete the FAFSA. All applications must be submitted online ONLY. Transcripts and other required documents will be sent through the mail. See the above website to apply.

    Eligibility: Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) for high school students, be of Hispanic heritage, must be 1st Generation to attend college (neither your mother nor your father has attended college), and demonstrate financial need. This is determined based on your family income, number of people that reside in your household and the number of college students in your home.

    Amount: $500

    Eligibility:You must be between the ages of 16 and 25 on March 30,2016; submit answers to all essay questions; be a current high school student or have at least one full year of postsecondary studies remaining at time of award; have a 2.5 GPA or higher; be a citizen of the US or Canada.

    Amount: $1,000

    Eligibility: Students scheduled to graduate high school during the 2015-16 school year and actively enrolled in CTE throughout their high school career are eligible to apply.  Students must have successfully completed at least three credits in two or more CTE courses and are currently enrolled in a CTE course for the fall and/ or spring semester of their Senior year.

    Amount: Varies

    Eligibility: Recipients must reside in the home of a Lyntegar Electric Cooperative, Inc. member. Whether the student resides with his/her mother, father, or legal guardian, they must present a valid member number to be eligible. Children of Lyntegar Electric Cooperative, Inc. employees are not eligible. Recipients must be graduating from high school or receiving a GED equivalent the same year the scholarship is awarded. Recipients must enroll in college the first fall semester after receipt of scholarship. Recipients must meet any entrance requirements of the college or university to which applied. Recipients must reside in the home of a Lyntegar Electric Cooperative, Inc. member. Whether the student resides with his/her mother, father, or legal guardian, they must present a valid member number to be eligible. Children of Lyntegar Electric Cooperative, Inc. employees are not eligible. Recipients must be graduating from high school or receiving a GED equivalent the same year the scholarship is awarded. Recipients must enroll in college the first fall semester after receipt of scholarship. Recipients must meet any entrance requirements of the college or university to which applied.
