WELCOME OUR NEW PRINCIPAL!

Please join us in welcoming Mrs Natalie Steele to our Dragon Family!  She will be taking the reins of the principal position from Cody White, as he transitions to the superintendent position with the impending retirement of Mr. Jones.  Mrs. Steele and her husband, Craig, both grew up and graduated from Sydney ISD.  Craig is currently the head football, boys’ track, and assistant baseball coach at Borden County.  The Steeles have two children.  Brianna (22) is in the Occupational Therapy program at ACU; Braden (19) is taking classes through Howard College and plans to pursue a career in education and coaching.  Mrs. Steele graduated with her Bachelor of Science from Tarleton State University and Master of Educational Leadership from Abilene Christian University.  This will be her 25th year in education.  We are so excited to have Mrs. Steele at Dawson!!!

WELCOME TWO NEW TEACHERS TO OUR SCHOOL!

Dawson ISD is excited to welcome Felix and Christy Medina to the Dragon family.  Mr. Medina will be teaching English language arts in grades 6-12, while Mrs Medina will be our new pre/k teacher.

Felix earned his bachelor’s degree from UTPB, and he went on to earn his master’s degree in educational leadership.  He brings 7 years of secondary experience to Dawson.  Christy also earned a bachelor’s degree at UTPB in child and family studies.  She brings 5 years of teaching experience both in pre/k and kindergarten.
