Meet the NEW Dragon Staff -- COACH AJ MENDEZ

AJ MENDEZ is beginning his first year in education at Dawson ISD as a teacher’s aide and girls’ basketball coach.  He is 24 years old, and has 2 older brothers and 1 younger brother.  He is from Ropesville, Texas.

Coach Mendez loves having the chance to work with a great staff and community, and he is particularly excited about getting to work with all age groups in his physical education classes. 

In his spare time, Coach Mendez likes to play volleyball and co-ed softball.  Something you might not know about him is that he worked at United Supermarkets for 7 years.
