Meet the NEW Dragon Staff -- HUNTER YANDELL

HUNTER YANDELL comes to Dawson ISD from Ropesville, and this is his first year in education.  He will be teaching secondary math/science and coaching boys’ basketball.  He graduated Texas Tech University in 2019, and married his wife who is from New Home.  Coach Yandell was raised in a 1A school, and has lived in the Lubbock area his whole life. 

Coach Yandell loves being able to teach kids and get them excited about things he and they both enjoy.  He is very excited about starting his educational career and winning basketball games with Dawson students.

Something interesting about Coach Yandell you might not know is that he is a Freemason.  He has also officiated sports for seven years.  He played sports with Coach Nandez and for Coach Bingham at Ropes ISD, and he is very excited to be able to work with them.  “It’s going to be a blast.”
