Meet the NEW Dragon Staff -- CHANNING PARKER

CHANNING PARKER joined Dawson ISD mid-year in 2022-2023 as an instructional aide, and she is now a first year teacher for Dawson, teaching 3^rd – 5^th grade science.  Prior to her half-year as an instructional aide, she spent 11 years as a school custodian, so she has spent many years in the school setting.  Miss Parker is from Lamesa, and has attended school at Lamesa ISD, Howard College, and UTPB.

Miss Parker is 34 years old, and has several honorary nieces and nephews.  She loves to read and watch movies, and she also loves music.  Additionally, she loves being in stage productions!

Something Miss Parker loves about her job is the atmosphere, the people she works with, and learning new things.  She is very excited to begin her first year of teaching at Dawson after being an aide, and she is eager to learn.  She tries to be happy and honest at all times.

Dawson ISD has already been fortunate to have CHANNING PARKER as an aide – now she comes back to the Dragon Staff as a teacher!!
