Meet the Dragon Staff -- BALINDA SCHLEHUBER

BALINDA SCHLEHUBER is starting her fourth year at Dawson ISD as the 3^rd - 5^th ELAR and social studies teacher.  This is her 19^th year in education.  She grew up in Denver City, Texas, and attended Houston Baptist University. 

Mrs. Schlehuber has been married to her husband David for 35 years.  They have one son, Damon, who lives in Ovasso, OK.  They also have four dogs – Turbo, Houdini, Shadow, and Peanut. 

Mrs. Schlehuber loves teaching; she loves working with kids to help them become successful.  She is excited to be at Dawson getting to do what she loves the most – teaching reading!!!

In her spare time, Balinda loves to go camping.  She enjoys hiking with her dogs, watching hummingbirds, and reading by the river.  Her and David’s favorite place to go is Red River, New Mexico.
