Update on Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Due to the order issued by Governor Abbott, Dawson ISD will remain closed through the remainder of the school year.

We will continue with our meal delivery plan as well as our distance learning instruction.

We miss all of our kids so much but understand keeping everyone safe.

Our amazing staff is working hard to keep serving our wonderful kids!

All student classwork will be delivered electronically or by printed work packet each Monday through the month of April.

Dawson ISD will deliver meals from 9:00am-11:00pm each day to all Dawson students’ homes unless otherwise directed by parents/guardians. If you have any questions/concerns, please call the school office at 806-489-7461.

Food Service Expectations &

Meal Delivery Procedure:

Methodology:

Dawson ISD Understands that it can be difficult for adults who are our kids’ guardians, to come and pick up food during the middle of the morning or day.  Many parents and guardians have expressed their concern that they may not be able to pick up meals for their kids at the pick-up locations.  Because of this, we have decided to deliver meals to each of our students’ homes.  It is our hope that this will ensure that all of our students will receive two meals each day that we deliver and NO kids go hungry.

Safety:

Dawson ISD will do whatever we can to ensure the safety of our students.  Our staff will be following all Health and CDC guidelines such as (but not limited to), wearing masks and gloves when we deliver food to your address.  This will also eliminate the need for kids and parents to leave the house and potentially being exposed to any sickness.

Expectation:

Dawson ISD is grateful for the opportunity to serve meals to our kids.  However please know that kids are expected to receive only two meals a day.  If they receive meals from us, they are not to go to another pick up location and receive additional meals.

Any child 18 years of age and younger are eligible to receive meals. Please contact us at (806) 489-7461 if you would like to receive meals. We will need permission from each family to deliver the meals.

Thanks,

Layne Sheets
